Early Settlement Program
It is now estimated
that 97% of all cases never go to trial at all. This is especially true for collections and wage and overtime cases.
Because of this, it may not be necessary to spend tens of thousands of dollars defending a case that will ultimately settle.
Our regular hourly rate for General Litigation is $225, but we also offer an
Early Settlement Program that costs a flat
$1,000 from start to end. We work to resolve the lawsuit before you
incur any substantial costs. Although it may not be right for every case, the Early Settlement program may help you
to avoid high expenses in litigating a lawsuit.
Does this program work? During this past 12 month period we have represented over 100 clients in this settlement
program and in that period, ending October 31, 2011, we settled over 40 of those cases and the client incurred $1,000
as their total attorney fee from us. That included all the settlement papers, releases and filings with the court.
The case was over and they only paid us $1,000 in total. Of course, there is no guarantee that your specific case
will settle, but it only makes sense to at least look into this program.
There is no fee or obligation for our initial consultation where we review the complaint and discuss the causes of action,
potential risks, and defenses. We will also discuss the most frequent lawsuits being filed and how to avoid them,
and give you a no-cost Arbitration Agreement (that includes a class action waiver), that you can use for new employee hires
and business contracts to avoid or
mitigate future lawsuits. Business lawsuits are complex and you need lawyers who handle these cases regularly.
You cannot rely on a lawyer who doesn't normally handle business lawsuits. We have handled business related lawsuits
since 1993 - including contract cases, collections, class actions, wrongful termination, discrimination, wage and
overtime cases, and sexual harassment. I have been lead counsel in over 50 class action wage cases. We just completed
a 2-week jury trial defending an architect for malpractice negligence so we are capable of taking your case through all
phases of trial if that becomes necessary. Please call our office for a free consultation at 714-379-6239 or in an
emergency call me directly on my cell phone at 562-895-5099.

IMPORTANT CALIFORNIA EMPLOYER ALERT - The California Legislature has recently
passed several new employment laws. The most significant, with severe employer penalties, deals with misclassification of
"1099 employees" or Independent Contractors.
See our article HERE. Other important new
laws will discussed shortly. Please check back on our home page on the left border for new links.
